Rosemary Adamson new program director for teaching skills
Dr. Rosemary Adamson, associate professor (Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine) will be associate program director for teaching skills for the UW Seattle Internal Medicine Residency Program, effective July 1, 2024.
Adamson is a pulmonary and critical care physician at the VA Puget Sound. An inpatient chief resident at New York University (NYU) before coming to the University of Washington for fellowship, she is a graduate of the UW Teaching Scholars Program and has a certificate in Medical Education Research from the AAMC.
Highly regarded as an outstanding educator and an expert in teaching methodology, Adamson has won numerous teaching awards including the UW David J Pierson Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring Award (2020), the Seattle VA Medical Center Steven McGee Teaching Award, the Emerging Educator Award from the Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Program Directors (2017), and is a four-time winner of the American Thoracic Society Innovations in Fellowship Education Award (2016, 2017, 2020, 2022).
