2024 Diversity Academic Development Scholarship Awards
The Diversity Academic Development Scholar Award assists highly qualified and meritorious trainees in their transition to the roles of clinician-scholar, physician-scientist, research-scientist, and principal investigator as newly appointed assistant professors.
Congratulations to the 2024 recipients, Drs. Christine Limonte, assistant professor (Nephrology) and Vidhushei Yogeswaran, fellow (Cardiology).
Christine Limonte, MD
Dr. Limonte is an assistant professor in the Division of Nephrology. She earned her medical degree at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, and completed her residency at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University and nephrology fellowship at the University of Washington. Her clinical and research focus is in diabetic and chronic kidney disease and precision medicine.
Vidhushei Yogeswaran, MD
Dr. Yogeswaran is a cardiology fellow at the University of Washington. She completed medical school at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and residency at the University of California San Francisco. Her long term career interests include research interests in public health/prevention and clinical interests in structural/congenital cardiology.
