Congratulations to Dr. Elizabeth Parsons, associate professor (Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine), this year’s recipient of the Steven R. McGee, MD Teaching Excellence Award.
She was selected for her outstanding clinical and teaching skills in sleep medicine and her record of scholarship. Dr. Parsons directs the national VA ECHO-Sleep Medicine educational program and is nationally recognized for her scholarship in sleep medicine.
This award was created in recognition of Dr. McGee’s unique contributions as a master clinician educator and role model dedicated to exceptional patient care and teaching of students, residents, fellows and colleagues; pursuit of knowledge; and the art of physical examination and bedside diagnosis.
