Dr. Cary Paine, associate professor of clinical practice
(Nephrology) was selected as the 2026 Nephrology Teacher of the Year. This is the first time he has received this honor.
Selected by the nephrology fellows, this award recognizes an exceptionally dedicated and skilled teacher for nephrology trainees.
Paine is the director of the Nephrology Fellowship Program and medical director of dialysis services at UW Medical Center Montlake.
