Dr. Naomi Shike, clinical assistant professor (General Internal Medicine) will be associate program director for professional development for the UW Medicine Residency Program, effective July 1, 2024.
Shike is a physician in the hospital medicine group at Harborview Medical Center who brings a wealth of experience as a medical educator and mentor for students and trainees.
Her background includes serving as a clinician teacher fellow at the Puget Sound VA in the Primary Care Clinic and as a lead for the physician shadowing component of the UW Health Professions Academy, a comprehensive professional development program for UW undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds who are aspiring to become physicians and dentists.
