Dr. Rashmi Sharma, associate professor (General Internal Medicine) has received a Fred Hutch Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) Catchment Area Pilot Award to co-design and pilot a community-engaged, multilingual advance care planning intervention to reduce cancer care disparities among patients with limited English proficiency.
Sharma and Megan Shen (Fred Hutch) will partner with the Chinese Information and Service Center to co-design and pilot culturally and linguistically tailored advance care planning materials for Chinese-, Spanish-, and Vietnamese-speaking patients with cancer and their families.
