Gregory Roth joins Provost's Academy

Dr. Gregory Roth, professor (Cardiology) has been selected to join the Provost’s Academy for the 2026-27 academic year.

The UW Provost’s Academy is an immersive program designed to recognize, engage, and cultivate emerging faculty leaders across all three UW campuses. It focuses on fostering professional growth, advancing the university's academic mission, and integrating diverse perspectives into institution-wide projects.

Roth will collaborate with Vice Provost Rovy Branon and partner with UW Continuum College to assess whether the University’s curriculum is equipped to prepare the healthcare workforce for Washington State’s anticipated health challenges.

His approach will draw on methods from his Program in Cardiovascular Health Metrics at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), UW curricular and workforce data, and AI-assisted mapping.
