The department welcomes Darcie Roberts as the new administrator in the Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. She has been interim administrator in the division since March. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in biology from Pacific Lutheran University.

Darcie has had a long career at UW, starting in the Division of Virology in 1988. Following a brief stint at Boeing, she returned to FHCRC as the financial manager for the HIV Vaccine Trials Network. Subsequently, she worked with Connie Celum to build a clinical operation team for the International Clinical Research Center where she oversaw the fiscal management, staffing and logistics for international sites in US, Africa and Peru.

Since 2009, she has been the Clinical Operations Manager at the Virology Research Clinic.

“I am very excited to join the AID leadership team,” she said. “And I look forward to partnering with our faculty and staff!”
