Stephanie Page appointed head of the Division of Metabolism, Endocrinology and Nutrition

Originally from Vancouver, BC, Dr. Page received her bachelor’s degree in biology with honors and distinction from Stanford University in 1989. Selected for the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), she came to the University of Washington in 1991, where she received her MD/PhD, and completed her residency and endocrinology fellowship. She was appointed as an assistant professor in 2006, and promoted through the ranks to professor in 2015.

She has served as the endocrinology section head at Harborview Medical Center since 2012 and as the associate fellowship program director for the division since 2010.

Dr. Page's research focuses on male reproduction and the development of male hormonal contraceptives. In addition, her group investigates the impact of testosterone on male aging and disease risk.

She has been the recipient of multiple awards and honors in her career. In 2012, she was named the Robert E. McMillen Endowed Professor in Lipid Research. Other honors include election to the American Society for Clinical Investigation (2011), the National Junior Physician Award from the American Federation for Medical Research (2010), and the Outstanding Investigator Award from the Western American Federation for Medical Research Foundation (2009).
