Ann O'Hare recognized with Shaul G. Massry Distinguished Lecture Award

Dr. Ann O’Hare, professor (Nephrology) has been selected to receive the Shaul G. Massry Distinguished Lecture Award from the National Kidney Foundation (NKF).
This lectureship was established to honor Dr. Shaul G. Massry for his scientific achievements and his contributions to the kidney healthcare community and to the National Kidney Foundation.
O'Hare is a nephrologist at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System and a professor of medicine (Neprhology) at the University of Washington. She is the inaugural holder of the Bill Peckham Endowed Fund for Person Centered care.
For over two decades she has been engaged in a compelling career-long process of learning how to care compassionately for people with kidney disease.
"This has been a path shaped by lessons learned and insights gained from patients and their family members, from colleagues within and outside nephrology, from a variety of different research projects, and from ongoing personal reflection."
She will receive the award and present the distinguished lecture at the National Kidney Foundation Spring Clinical Meetings in May.
