Modeling the Airway Epithelial Microenvironment in Asthma at Single Cell Resolution

Dr. Ryan Murphy, acting assistant professor (Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine) received a K23 Career Development Award for his project, “Modeling the Airway Epithelial Microenvironment in Asthma at Single Cell Resolution.”

The project aims to identify new therapeutic targets for people with uncontrolled asthma by studying how airway epithelial cells communicate with immune cell populations to promote airway inflammation that persists despite application of currently available treatments.
