2020 Leaders in Health Care
The 2020 winners of the Seattle Business Magazine’s Leaders in Healthcare Awards include Dr. Nancy Davidson, professor and head (Medical Oncology) who received the Gold Award for Outstanding Medical Group Executive and UW Medicine/VAPSHCS, including Dmitry Levin, research scientist (Cardiology) who won the Silver Award for Achievement in Medical Technology.
Since Davidson joined Seattle Cancer Care Alliance in 2016, the organization has become a national leader in clinical enrollment, with more than 500 active clinical trials, notably on new therapies to treat breast cancer. Davidson herself has published key findings on the role of hormones on gene expression and cell growth in breast cancer.
The Achievement in Medical Technology Award recognizes the Center for Cardiovascular Innovation’s (CCVI) groundbreaking 3-D printing work of 1:1 patient organs. The prints rendered via industry leading 3-D printers allow for physicians and researchers alike to physically interact with one’s organs within a few hours, helping them identify key points of interest and test various devices prior to performing procedures.
Every year, Seattle Business magazine honors the individuals and organizations who are advancing Washington’s health industry.
