Dr. Erin Kross, associate professor (Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine) has received the Lifetime Achievement Award by the American Thoracic Society Assembly on Behavioral Science and Health Services Research.

This award is given to an individual who has made outstanding scientific and scholarly contributions or provided outstanding service relevant to the behavioral or social sciences, clinical epidemiology, statistics, health services research, health economics, comparative clinical efficacy and effectiveness research, patient-centered outcomes research, performance measurement, quality improvement, or implementation science.

 
 
 

Dr. Kross earned her M.D. from the University of Iowa. She is board certified in both Critical Care Medicine and Pulmonary Disease. Her clinical and research interests are focused on patient and family-centered palliative care during critical illness. Her clinical and research interests include multi-disciplinary critical care medicine, post-intensive care syndrome (patient and family), palliative care and general pulmonary medicine.
