Dr. Caitlin Kinahan, clinical instructor (Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine) is the 2025 recipient of the Tina Juul-Dam Teacher of the Year award.

This award is named in honor of Dr. Tina Juul-Dam, a dedicated Primary Care Physician and Boise track resident whose life and career was tragically cut short at the end of her residency. She inspired her patients and colleagues alike with her energy, conviction and selflessness. 

The award criteria are those that Tina exemplified:

  • Holistic approach to patient care
  • Patient-centered focus of concern
  • Enthusiasm for evidence-based teaching and learning
  • Honesty and humility
  • Compassion and genuine care for patients and colleagues
