Harborview selected for national Advancing Age-Friendly Care Collaborative

Harborview Medical Center has been selected as one of five hospitals nationwide to participate in the Advancing Age-Friendly Care Collaborative, an experiential learning, coaching, and implementation program led by Northwell Health and supported by The John A. Hartford Foundation and Press Ganey.

DOM Collaborative team members include Drs. Katherine Bennett, associate professor, May Reed, professor, Gina Kim, assistant professor of clinical practice, Mengru “Ruru” Wang, assistant professor of clinical practice (Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine), and Nick Meo, associate professor (General Internal Medicine).

Over the next year, the interdisciplinary team will work alongside peer health systems to strengthen the delivery of Age-Friendly Care at Harborview, implementing evidence-based interventions designed to improve the experience and outcomes of older adults and their care partners.
