Yoshio Hall appointed Nephrology Section Head at the VA Puget Sound
Dr. Hall received his undergraduate degree at Yale University, went to medical school at Baylor College of Medicine, and completed his medical residency and nephrology fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. He joined the faculty at UW Division of Nephrology in 2007.
He brings substantial leadership experience to this role, having served in numerous roles, including as the Nephrology Training Program Director, Medical Director of the Scribner Kidney Center, and the Interim Medical Director of Kidney Clinic at Harborview Medical Center. He has led efforts to implement eConsults and telehealth for nephrology at UW Medicine.
He is nationally recognized for his research and scholarly work that is focused primarily on the interplay of poverty with kidney disease.
