Dr. William Grady, professor (Gastroenterology) has received a 2022 Kuni Foundation Imagination Grant.
Intended to fulfill an unmet need or to advance important work in the pursuit of impactful and innovative cancer research, the Imagination Grant serves as a catalyst for strengthening or expanding the cancer research capabilities of an institution in service to its mission.
With this award, Dr. Grady and team will continue to work to identify novel molecular tests for identifying individuals at high risk for liver cancer.
His work with Dr. George Ioannou includes applying these findings to Alaska Native and American Indian populations.
