Jose Garcia appointed Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) Director

Dr. Jose Garcia, professor (Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine) has accepted the position of Geriatric Research Education and Clinical Center (GRECC) Director at the VA Puget Sound Healthcare System.
GRECCs were established by Congress in 1975 in order to improve the health and health care of older Veterans. They are located at 20 medical centers across the country and each is connected with a major research university.
“I look forward to contributing to our shared mission for improving the healthcare of Veterans and Washingtonians through research, education and clinical innovation,” said Garcia.
