Dr. Mary (Nora) Disis has been selected as the recipient of the 2022 Award for Science Advancement and Leadership by the Seattle Chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS).
The AWIS awards honor outstanding women for their achievements in advancing science or technology, contributing to STEM education, or being outstanding mentors and leaders.
Dr. Disis is a Professor of Medicine (Medical Oncology), Adjunct Professor of Pathology and Obstetrics & Gynecology, the Helen B. Slonaker Endowed Professorship for Cancer Research, Associate Dean of Translational Health Science, and Director of the Cancer Vaccine Institute at the University of Washington.
