Başak Çoruh inaugural mentor for the Medical Educator Scholar Diversity Fellowship Award

Dr. Başak Çoruh, associate professor (Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine) is the inaugural Medical Educator Scholar Diversity Fellowship Mentor for the Association of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Program Directors (APCCMPD) and CHEST Medical Educator Scholarship Diversity Fellowship Award.

Established in 2023, the CHEST and APCCMPD Medical Educator Diversity Scholarship Fellowship Award recognizes the value of a diverse community in improving medical education in pulmonary and critical care medicine, and provides support and funding for fellows who intend to pursue a career in medical education and significantly contribute to the diversity of the medical education community.

The Medical Education Mentor is provided protected time to mentor the awarded fellow-in-training via a virtual relationship.
