Paula Carvalho honored as a Woman of the Year

Congratulations to Dr. Paula Carvalho, professor (Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine) who is a 2023 recipient of the Women of the Year award from the Idaho Business Review.

The Women of the Year program celebrates women leaders from all over the state who have made their mark and are paving the way for leaders of today and into the future, and recognizes women who are shaping Idaho’s economic and community well-being through their outstanding leadership, mentoring efforts and community involvement.

Carvalho received her medical degree and completed her Internal Medicine residency and fellowship at the University of Washington.
She is section head of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine and directs the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Simulation Lab at the Boise VA Medical Center.
