Dr. Edward Boyko, professor (General Internal Medicine) is the 2022 recipient of the Peter Bennett Award from the International Diabetes Epidemiology Group (IDEG).
This award honors Dr. Peter Bennett’s many contributions to the epidemiology of type 2 diabetes mellitus and its complications arising from his greater than 50-year experience working among the Pima Indians of Southern Arizona.
It is given in recognition of a major and longstanding contribution to the field of diabetes epidemiology.
