Nisha Bansal new Assistant Vice Chair for Clinical Research

Dr. Nisha Bansal, professor (Nephrology) is our new assistant vice chair for clinical research, effective Oct. 1.

In this role, in conjunction with vice chair for research Dr. Conrad Liles, Bansal will be responsible for providing visionary, programmatic and operational leadership for our departmental research program, with a focus on clinical research.

Bansal is currently director of clinical and research education for the Division of Nephrology, and director of the UW Medicine Kidney Heart Service. She also directs the Seattle Internal Medicine Residency Program physician scientist learning pathway.

"Conrad and I are so enthusiastic about the skills, experience, and leadership qualities that Nisha will bring to this position, and we are thrilled to partner with her in this new role," said Department Chair Dr. Barbara Jung.
