New Year Up intern

We are thrilled to introduce Tila Coleman, our new Year Up intern. Year Up is a job training program, tuition free, that helps students with skills-based training and internships. The Department of Medicine has been sponsoring interns with Year Up since 2022.

Tila is a life-long resident of Seattle and a mother of two wonderful daughters. With a strong interest in herbal medicine and previous work experience in healthcare settings, she is excited to build upon her background and continue her career journey with the Department of Medicine.

Tila is in Year Up’s project management track and will be working on initiatives within the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Office.

“I joined Year Up for the opportunity to access the education, career and work-based experience resources, allowing me to build valuable skills and expand my professional network,” she said.

In addition to project management, Tila is interested in advancing her skills in graphic design and animation, and is ultimately working toward growing her career as a project manager and aspiring content producer.
