Dr. Rachel Issaka, assistant professor (Gastroenterology) has received the 2022 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Award from the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).
This award recognizes an ACG Member whose work in the areas of clinical practice, research, teaching and/or leadership has demonstrated an emerging or sustained commitment to the values of diversity, health equity and inclusion.
Dr. Issaka is an assistant professor in the division of UW Gastroenterology, the Kathryn Surace-Smith Endowed Chair in Health Equity Research, Director of the FHCRC/UW Medicine Population Health Colorectal Cancer Screening Program, and an Assistant Member at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center.
