Dr. William Banks, professor (Gerontology and Geriatric Medicine) was honored with the Viktor Mutt lectureship award at the International Society for Bioactive Peptides meeting.
The Viktor Mutt lectureship was established in recognition of the fundamental research of Viktor Mutt (1923-1998) in the field of gastrointestinal peptide hormones and neuropeptides.
Dr. Banks was awarded for his outstanding work on the transportation of neuropeptides through the brain blood barrier and the study of their functional implication.
