Eric Morrell receives Early Career Achievement Award
Dr. Eric Morrell, assistant professor (Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine) has received the Early Career Achievement Award from the American Thoracic Society.
This award honors a rising star with exemplary scientific achievements and who demonstrates a clear promise of sustained productivity.
Dr. Morrell received his medical degree from Indiana University. After an internship at Walter Reed, he was a resident and chief resident at the University of Pittsburgh before joining the University of Washington as a Pulmonary and Critical Care fellow.
He was selected for a prestigious Parker B. Francis Fellowship and an NIH mentored K23 award. Dr. Morrell is also the recipient of a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) RDP Pilot award and is a co-investigator on our CFF funded Lung Transplant Consortium award and a DoD award.
