Staff Spotlight: Tanya Conger
Tanya Conger first started working at the University of Washington in 2008, as a temporary revenue cycle manager in the Department of Radiology. She was promoted to site manager at Harborview, and then assistant director of operations, overseeing the administrative and research staff at HMC, UWMC and the SCCA.
In 2016, the Department of Radiology nominated her for the Distinguished Staff Award, which is the University of Washington’s highest staff honor.
In addition to being a part of the leadership team and working closely with physician leaders at all sites of practice, it also offered me the opportunity to be the liaison between the hospital and School of Medicine side of the department.
Tanya joined the Boise Internal Medicine Residency Program in 2018. In partnership with the Program Director, she directs strategic business, program growth and enhancement, policy development implementation, and operational planning for the training program.
She is also the administrative liaison between the Boise Internal Medicine Residency, education programs at affiliated training sites throughout Idaho (WWAMI) and the Boise Veterans Administration, and the University of Washington School of Medicine.
I am honored to be an employee of the University of Washington. Throughout my tenure I contribute my personal and professional growth to the relationships and partnerships I was able to develop with the physicians and staff in the departments I have been a part of.
Outside of work she spends time on the pool deck with her husband of almost 25 years and her three children, David Jr. (23), Jennifer (18) and Emma (15).
