Rachel Issaka selected as AGA FORWARD Scholar

Issaka is one of ten scholars selected for the FORWARD program.

FORWARD (Fostering Opportunities Resulting in Workforce and Research Diversity) is an American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) leadership pathway that prepares physician-scientists from underrepresented populations for a successful career in academic medicine with leadership development, research and management skills training from top GI investigators, and a new network of peers and leaders from underrepresented populations to learn from.

Scholars will participate in a training and mentorship program designed to provide concrete and applicable skills to promote underrepresented populations in the pursuit of successful careers as physician-scientists.
